Hit 80's All Girly Girl Band Makes Huge Comeback. Record Deals Abound In Antarctica

AP: Tempe AZ. This weekend saw the rebirth of the all girly girl band called Faces of Emotions at their 25 year reunion. Four of the original band members that were still breathing picked up where they left of so long a go. Not exactly like grandma on steroids, but close enough to a fiber induced healthy snack bar, these 4 girls, now grown, pre-social security women gave the performance of their life time (which is now much shorter). No huge drama as far as stroke or heart attacks were evident as they played their hearts out, sang up a storm and only had to take 5 potty breaks during the one hour performance. The huge crowd that attended...about 25 people inside and 50 people outside were treated to left over 1980 cassette recordings that were never opened. Though many attending had no idea how to use the cassette, those of us that lived during cassette era were concerned on how we could play them now. I kept my 8 track, should have kept the cassette player.

The group played original music, the bass guitar player was great, the keyboards were outstanding, drummer did not lose any sticks and percussions were killing me (but in a good way) These girly girls looked pretty good, not a botox moment, but more like real life. No glitter, no breast implants (though some could have used them), and more guts then I would have.

So, below is a taste of what we witnessed in Tempe AZ, and with any luck, may not have to see again for an entire year:-)

Google Calendar, offers users a "Free Wake Up Kit" to help users get out of bed in the morning.

"The 'wake up' notification uses several progressively more annoying alerts to wake you up. First it will send an SMS message to your phone. If that fails, more coercive means will be used," the fake announcement from Google read. "The kit includes an industrial-sized bucket and is designed to be connected to your water main for automatic filling. In addition, a bed-flipping device is included for forceful removal from your sleeping quarters."

(Except I didn't really feel lucky. I was only offered "dates" with Tom Cruise, George W. Bush, and South Park's Eric Cartman. None of them are really my type.)
